James Socol

Bio

James Socol is a web application developer based in Brooklyn, N.Y. He works as Mozilla's Community Platforms Manager where he leads the engineering of several major web properties, and is responsible for the growth of the teams and the professional development team members.

As the author of widely-used Open Source libraries and an active member of the web development, Python, and Django communities, James has given talks at conferences, meetups, and summits on topics including continuous deployment, scaling web applications, and the value of Open Source software.
